Summer Time Baseball Trips

In recent years I have been waiting for the summer months to get away from the doldrums of working. As a teacher, I have to be committed most of my year to the scholastic yearnings of the students that I’m in charge of. I countdown the end of the school year so that I can take a few weeks off of my otherwise boring summer and travel to Los Angeles and watch my favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers play against a slew of the national league’s best.

While many people dream of a vacation to tropical destinations, I look forward to the greater Los Angeles area and my seats usually located in the lower sections along the third base line. I used to live in Los Angeles, but now I have to wait for the summer months to visit my family, and of course, cheer on the boys in blue at Dodgers Stadium.

When I’m away from my team’s home, I have to settle for watching them on satellite tv. I make sure to watch every game throughout the summer and thanks to a direct tv promotions I got extra baseball channel. I hope that this year they can capture the National League title in hopes of another World Series title. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the guys mop up in the finals, but I remain hopeful. With Manny Ramirez and my summer time vacations to see them play, they have all the right keys to winning, I hope.
